Volunteering Opportunities exist for volunteers who are available to work one or two days a week. Selected volunteers will have their subsistence expenses covered. Afiya volunteers are usually people who want to give something back to BME communities. They are often involved in Afiya's policy and research work from data inputting and administration to policy work. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and have a proposal that you would like us to consider in any of our core areas of work then email

Areas of current interest to Afiya include working with GPs, race equality and service delivery, online content management, event assistance and service user involvement.
