Working with Afiya

Volunteering
Opportunities exist for volunteers who are available to work one or two days a week. Selected volunteers will have their subsistence expenses covered. Afiya volunteers are usually people who want to give something back to BME communities. They are often involved in Afiya's policy and research work from data inputting and administration to policy work. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and have a proposal that you would like us to consider in any of our core areas of work then email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Internships
Afiya's internship positions are structured, full time and usually last from three to six months. Interns can lead on one project and can also develop new pieces of work. Areas of current interest to Afiya include working with GPs, race equality and service delivery, online content management, event assistance and service user involvement. The Afiya Trust is a national charity that works to reduce inequalities in health and social care provision for people from racialised communities. Find out about the local and national networks we support. We liaise and work with central government departments and policymakers to ensure the BME perspective isn’t lost. Visit Our Work, Policy and Campaigns sections to find out more.
