In the Summer 2010 The Afiya Trust launched Catalyst, a new quarterly BME health and wellbeing magazine as part of our ongoing plan to broaden how we communicate and reflect your voices. Currently edited by the launch Editor Joy Francis, the magazine highlights issues of concern not widely known or present in the mainstream or specialist media. Aiming to be as topical as possible, Catalyst provides news analysis on policy and practice, profiles two people at different points of the health and wellbeing spectrum either as practitioners or service users, an interview with a celebrity or public figure on their view of the voluntary and community sector, health and wellbeing as well as introducing you to different members of the Afiya network. There is also a noticeboard for your events, training and new posts, a letters page and information about new and useful resources. If you would like to submit a letter to the editor, an idea for consideration, or if you would like to be featured in the magazine, then email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
