Contribute to new disability strategy

The Afiya Trust has been invited to contribute directly to a new cross-government disability strategy which aims to “to enable disabled people to fulfil their potential and have opportunities to play a full role in society".

We would like to invite you to our discussion event(s) to gather your views to make sure we represent the experiences of our members. The discussion will focus on issues such as:

  • Disability and race discrimination
  • Personalisation and choice
  • Access to health and social services
  • Promoting service users and carer voices
  • Exploring marginalised disabled voices e.g. deaf and blind people

The consultation will take place on Thursday 1st March, 2012
Carers 10.30am - 12.30pm
Service Users 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Travel expenses will be paid to participants and food and refreshments will be provided.

If you would like to participate in the consultation, please state which session (Service users/Carers) you would like to attend and respond by 5pm on Wednesday 29th February to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
